FAQ

Why should I vote?

Because you can actually change what the World thinks. Similarly, you can influence the opinion of your own country. Can you let it go? It is just one click!

Who can vote?

Everybody! WorldOpinion is open to all. We have all independent states of the World in our database. The only condition is Internet access.

I cannot decide between the two answers. What should I do?

If you feel that your opinion is not clear enough to be able to vote for either of the answers, consider which of them is closer to you and vote for it. If you can't do that, feel free to express your point of view in the Issue's discussion.

Can more than one person vote from the same computer?

We have had to develop certain restrictions to avoid multiple voting by one person. We are sorry for this inconvenience but we are sure that you appreciate more accurate results. Therefore, only one person can vote from one computer without registration. However, to avoid those problems we highly recommend that you register with WorldOpinion. Once you have your own account there are no restrictions from voting on one computer.

Is WorldOpinion a product of some institution, think-tank, political party or anybody else who would have an interest in certain results?

Not at all. It has to be emphasised that WorldOpinion is an independent project. The results will serve everybody but not to a certain interested group. All data is presented in the exact form counted by our system to which nobody else has access.

What are the benefits for registrated user?

The first benefit is the personalised Dashboard which provides registered users with a summary of voting history, discussions history, reminders of new issues and others. Moreover, there are certain features to which you do not have access to unless you are registered. They are discussing issues and checking detailed results. In addition, everything you do with WorldOpinion can be done more easily when you are registered. You can vote from everywhere without checking if the system found your right nationality, you can be informed about new issues by emails, you can store your history and other benefits.

What does the "Plug-in" mean?

Plug-in is a tool designed especially for those of you who have your own website or blog. It is basically a box which can be placed on external website. The box shows one particular Issue and enables to vote and check its current results. Therefore, your visitors can vote and observe results right from your website.

Can I suggest my own issue?

Yes. If you are missing an issue, feel free to suggest it. You can do that through your Dashboard.

What is Dashboard?

Dashboard is a homepage for registered users with personalised navigation to the rest of the website. There you can find a summary of your voting history, discussions history, reminders of new issues, settings and others

I don't want anybody to see my details or voting history, what can I do?

You don't need to do anything. Your profile is inaccessible to anyone else. Therefore, you can fill out whatever information you want to your profile and can vote for whatever issue you want. Nobody can find what you have filled out and how you voted.
